Location: 462 Bryant Street, San Francisco

The roof of 462 Bryant will be uncluttered by mechanical equipment, which will be placed on the lower roof of the adjacent 460 Bryant building, behind the billboard. The fourth, fifth and seventh floors of 462 Bryant will include outdoor deck areas and landscaping.

The site extends from Bryant Street to Stillman Street and slopes longitudinally and laterally - the existing first floor is well above Bryant Street and well below Stillman Street. It is therefore not feasible to provide ground floor storefronts. However, the ground floor façade facing Bryant Street will be glass. Production, distribution, and repair (PDR) use is proposed on the Stillman Street side of the building. Entrance to the existing basement vehicle and bicycle parking will be through a new garage door in the same location as the existing garage door, also on Stillman Stree
t.

462 Bryant

Details

462 Bryant is a new seven-story office building in the historically industrial SOMA neighborhood. Its exterior is defined by corrugated metal cladding, perforated with varying degrees of openness. The building’s massing is defined on the primary Bryant Street frontage by the street wall, and on the secondary Stillman Street side by an easement preserving sightlines from the Bay Bridge approach to a billboard on the adjacent building. 462 Bryant will share a lobby with the adjacent 460 Bryant, another building located on the same parcel.
